1ST TIMES2 CONFERENCE REVIEW

This last week we held the first ever TIMES2 conference at Hendrix Road Baptist Church! We were very excited to be able to finally have the conference that we had planned for a while. We just wanted to update those of you who were not able to attend on how it went.
God really blessed! The main thing we wanted out of this conference is for God to be uplifted and for the gospel of Christ to be at the center of everything, and we believe this took place.
We had eleven preachers in three days in the evening conference at the local church. There was great Christ-centered music, as well as gospel preaching each night. We do plan on posting video and audio on the website soon, as we already have pictures from each night.
During the day on Thursday and Friday we had a great time in each session. The favorite of many seemed to be the open and honest Q&A time on Friday. We were also able to outreach into the community some on Friday.
The fellowship and meeting of other preachers was one of the highlights of the conference for many as well. Just being able to share visions and goals with others was a huge encouragement.
We plan on doing some mini weekend conferences until next summer. Stay posted.
God certainly blessed and hearts were touched. To Him be glory!

P. S. If you would like to hear a small clip of some of the preachers singing "In Christ Alone" the last night, please click here!

Welcome

Welcome to TIMES2 MINISTRIES. This is a blog with the purpose of being an encouragement to young preachers around the world. For the first post I am going to tell you a little bit about the vision that the Lord has laid on our heart. As a young preacher myself, I know my heart is encouraged when I have the privilege and opportunity to fellowship with other preachers, young or old. But my heart is especially thrilled when I can share the zeal and passion that I have with other young preachers. Whether it is on the phone, over lunch, or out on the golf course, I always walk away challenged and excited about what God has in store with the next generation.
As we look at the state of Christianity, many people see a reason to be discouraged. I believe we should choose to get excited about the future, rather than wallow in the past. In Haggai and Ezra we see example of ancient men weeping as a result of dwelling in the past. The men were encouraged to continue in the work although some doubted that God could get glory out of the new temple. Though in the eyes of some it may be dark and there might not be hope, I believe God has a generation of men ready to rise. Promises in His Word have not changed and we can be excited about the future!
We desire to pick up the mantle and beg God for a double portion of His power on our lives. With a focus on Christ, and in His power alone, we desire to allow Christ in us to make a difference in our communities and churches around the globe. Let us join together in refocusing on Christ, and trusting in Him to bring revivals in our individual communities to turn the world upside down for Christ. Let us pick up the mantle of Christians and martyrs who have gone on before.
